This week, the Chrysler Group has announced a recall for 349,442 units in total, covering five models. Read on for more details.
All vehicles being recalled are from the 2008 model year, and include: the Dodge Charger and Magnum, the Chrysler 300, and the Jeep Commander and Grand Cherokee. If you or anyone in your home drives one of these vehicles, please keep an eye out for a notification by mail in the near future.
The problems with these models involves the ignition switch. In some cases, the ignition key may not rest in the "ON" position during engine startup, instead reverting to the "ACESSORY" or "OFF" position. This can result in reduced power to the brakes, engine, and steering though the airbags will remain fully functional. No injuries have been reported as caused by this problem at this time.
