A few months ago Chrysler revealed it would be producing a powerful supercar built on the platform of a model we have come to know and love: the Challenger. Known as the 'Hellcat', this is a muscle car we've been dying to learn more about.
Chrysler confirmed the model would be making its way to production in mid-2014, but it looks as though we'll have another powerful car that will be released in the meantime to hold us over. That's right readers, Hennessy took matters into its own hands to develop a version called the HPE650 Challenger SRT8. Let's take a closer look at this muscle car's impressive performance.
For starters, the enhanced Challenger will sport a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine capable of cranking out 650 horsepower. With the addition of cylinder heads, stainless-steal full-length headers, a new fuel system and fuel injectors, the model was designed to offer a performance like never seen before.
It's hard to imagine exactly the kind of power this vehicle is capable of, which is why Hennessey created a special video that gives us a better idea.
